A kind sᴀɪʟᴏʀ has been recorded while sᴀᴠɪɴɢ a sᴛʀᴀɴᴅᴇᴅ ᴅᴏɢ cowering on the rudder of another boat in the Philippines.
Heart-warming footage shows the sᴀɪʟᴏʀ climbing down from his boat before hopping into the water and swimming over toward the ᴅᴏɢ on the other side of the bay in Danao City on March 18.
He brings a life ring with him as he approaches the ᴅᴏɢ who his ᴛʀᴇᴍʙʟɪɴɢ ᴡɪᴛʜ Fʀɪɢʜᴛ and hungry . At first the ᴅᴏɢ backs away from the sᴀɪʟᴏʀ but he then starts sᴛʀᴏᴋɪɴɢ him to try and calm him down.
The ᴅᴏɢ starts wagging his tail and seems to begin trusting the sᴀɪʟᴏʀ as he hoists him off the rudder. The sᴀɪʟᴏʀ then put the ᴅᴏɢ on to the life ring before swimming back to his boat while holding the ᴅᴏɢ. The sᴄᴀʀᴇᴅ ᴅᴏɢ can be heard whimpering while the sᴀɪʟᴏʀ slowly makes his way back to his boat.
And one of the fellow sᴀɪʟᴏʀs who is recording the ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ mission can be heard saying: ‘To the ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ man’. Once the sᴀɪʟᴏʀ and ᴅᴏɢ make it back to the boat another man climbs down the ladder to help carry the ᴅᴏɢ up to safety. The sᴀɪʟᴏʀ in the water hoists the ᴅᴏɢ up to the second man on the boat’s ladder before he then lifts the ᴅᴏɢ to a third man at the top of the boat.
The footage then cuts to after the ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ when the grateful ᴅᴏɢ is seen being stroked by one of the sᴀɪʟᴏʀs and wagging his tail.
